WWCA Strategic Plan

🌿 **The Power of Strategic Planning: Transforming WWCA’s Future and Impact on Communities** 🌿

At the Western Wildlife Conservancies Association, our newly launched 2025-2029 Strategic Plan is more than a roadmap—it’s a catalyst for change that will elevate our organization and the communities we serve. A well-defined strategic plan is essential for aligning our vision, strengthening governance, and driving meaningful action in conservation.

Here’s how our strategic plan will benefit both WWCA and our communities:

1. Capacity Building: Transforming WWCA into a high-performing conservation organization by enhancing governance structures and building institutional capacity.

2. Sustainable Management of Landscapes and Species: We’re committed to improving the management of critical habitats and addressing human-wildlife conflicts, ensuring the protection of both wildlife and community livelihoods.

3. Policy and Advocacy: Strengthening our capacity to influence conservation policies at national and county levels, creating a more supportive environment for wildlife conservancies.

4. Durable Financing: Securing long-term, sustainable financing through partnerships, tourism initiatives, and conservation enterprises. This will reduce dependency on external grants and foster self-reliance.

Our strategic plan focuses on community participation, resilient ecosystems, and promoting a wildlife economy that supports sustainable livelihoods. By working closely with local communities, we aim to create inclusive conservation models that empower individuals while protecting biodiversity.

To our valued partners, Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association,The Nature Conservancy, and Kenya Wildlife Service, your support has been instrumental in this journey. Together, we will continue driving positive change for our landscapes and communities.
