The County Government of Siaya is hosting World Tourism Week 2025 under the theme: Tourism and Sustainable Transformation
As Western Wildlife Conservancies Association , we are proud to see our member Utonga Nature Conservancy featured as a key stop in the celebrations. On 26th September 2025, visitors will experience Utonga’s incredible efforts in conserving biodiversity along the Lake Victoria shores while also promoting community-based tourism and sustainable livelihoods.

From the majestic Ndanu Falls, vibrant boat racing, to the cultural heritage of the Ongielo Crying Stone, the program will showcase how natural and cultural assets are drivers of both conservation and economic transformation.

WWCA celebrates Utonga Conservancy’s role in demonstrating how community-led conservation contributes to sustainable tourism, local pride, and long-term transformation.
