16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Today, 29th November, the Mary Okello Conservancy, together with its partners, is excited to host a transformative and engaging experience—the Paste The Thought: Digital Shadows Picnic Edition, a special event aligned with the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Running from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, this unique picnic-style workshop brings together community members, young people, creatives, conservationists, and wellness practitioners for a morning dedicated to healing, awareness, and environmental action.

Why You Should Join Us Today

This year, the event explores inner healing, authenticity, and the urgent topic of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV). As our digital lives expand, so does the need to better understand, prevent, and respond to online harm—especially for women and young people.

We are creating a safe, supportive, and reflective space where participants can ground themselves emotionally while learning practical tools to navigate digital spaces with confidence and awareness.

What to Expect This Morning

Participants will enjoy a blend of wellness, creativity, and learning activities, including:

🌿 Art Therapy Sessions
🧘 Grounding Yoga
🙏 Gratitude Jar Reflections
🎮 Fun Games and Icebreakers
🗣️ Conversations on Technology-Facilitated GBV
🌱 Tree Planting in the Conservancy
🍎 Snacks, Community, and Good Vibes

This workshop provides the perfect blend of inner healing and nature-based engagement, all within the peaceful surroundings of Mary Okelo Conservancy.

By blending healing practices with conservation action, we strengthen the fabric of community resilience—ensuring that both people and nature thrive.
